Today is Special Olympics in Presque Isle. We had several students go in many capacities. We have a group of student athletes competing and joining in the opening ceremonies, NHS members handing out awards and we even ran into some SA alumni! Congrats to all! You make us proud!

Today, the Houlton Rotary Club held their annual "Student Recognition Luncheon" for students at Houlton High School, Hodgdon High School, East Grand High School, Greater Houlton Christian Academy, and Southern Aroostook High School. Congratulations to Ryder Russel and Frank Drake who have been participating in the Southern Aroostook High School community work study program. These young men were recognized for their outstanding volunteer work at Houlton Regional Hospital. This year, Frank volunteered 65 hours this year. Over the past two years, Ryder has clocked a total of 170 volunteer hours. Great job guys !
