
Megan Cook from Aroostook County Cooperative Extension visited our 4th Graders today. They learned about Acadian history & agriculture. The students learned how to make ploy & sampled it.






The elementary school showed their appreciation for our kitchen staff last week during the All School Morning Meeting. Thank you, Lunch Ladies!


Grades 4 and 5 along with the band attended the Bangor Symphony Orchestra yesterday!

Mrs. Vose's photography class had Pet photography day today with special guest Stewie G. He modeled several fashions and was a fun addition to the class. Thank you to Miss Chris and Stewie for coming to photography today.






Fifth graders learned how to calculate volume and then brought volume to “life” by creating animals for the SACS Volume Zoo. It was wild!


Southern Aroostook Community School 6th graders constructed kites of their own design in connection with the novel they just finished reading, Dragonwings, by Laurence Yep.




Congratulations to Ryder Russel and Frank Drake who have been participating in the Southern Aroostook High School community work study program. These young men were recognized for their outstanding volunteer work at Houlton Regional Hospital. This year, Frank volunteered 65 hours this year. Over the past two years, Ryder has clocked a total of 170 volunteer hours. Great job guys !




The Southern Aroostook Middle School baseball/softball games with Caribou today have been postponed. No makeup date for the game has been scheduled. No practice for either middle school team.


The Honors Banquet scheduled for tonight, April 30, 2025, for Grades 6-12 students has been postponed. We will send out information on the new date and time for the banquet when it becomes available.

ELEMENTARY LOST AND FOUND: Please take a moment to look at the pictures and see if your child is missing anything. There are a number of black hoodies and black zip-up hoodies and other really nice sweatshirts looking for their homes! Please call or email Mrs. Williams if you see something that needs to be sent home with your child.





REMINDER to those who utilize the After School Program or the late bus~ We have altered our schedule for the remainder of this year's program. We will not be running on the following days: April 28 and May 8, 12, 14, 19 and 26th. Thank you.

Congratulations to Southern Aroostook High School Senior Trafton Russell who was accepted to the University of Maine for the Fall 2025 Semester. Trafton was admitted into the College of Earth, Life and Health Science with a major in Forestry. Trafton also received an merit scholarship of $2,000 annually.


Thursday evening some of our talented students participated in a couple of ASP drama productions. Both casts showcased lots of talent in a murder mystery and a classic fable. Congrats to all involved!

The Southern Aroostook After-School Program Drama Club will be performing “How to Get Away with a Murder Mystery” by Don Zolidis tonight, Thursday April 17th, at 6:00 p.m.. The performance will be held in the SACS Multipurpose Room.
Admission is $5.00. . All proceeds benefit the Southern Aroostook After-School Program.
