
The So. Aroostook High School band also participated in the Island Falls in the Island Falls 150th year parade today.


So. Aroostook High School girls and boys basketball teams participated in the 150th year celebration parade in Island Falls today. Boys also received their State Championship rings today! Thank you to everyone who helped by donating money for the rings.




A great turnout for the Island Falls Lakes Association canoe and kayak race at Birch Point Campground. Thank you to all the participated and for your support of the So. Aroostook Scholarship Fund.


Registration begins at 12:00pm for the Island Falls Lake Association Canoe, Kayak, & SUP race. Registration runs from 12:00-12:45pm. Race starts at 1:00. Proceeds from the race benefit the So. Aroostook Scholarship Fund.

The So. Aroostook Community School Food Pantry will be open on Thursday July 21st at 12:30pm.


This year, So. Aroostook Community School is hoping to have 100% of the School Lunch Applications completed by our parents/guardians. As an incentive, any parents/guardians who complete their School Lunch Application prior to August 26th will be eligible for a drawing to win one of two $100 gas cards!

We have received some requests to reopen the So. Aroostook High School State Championship Basketball apparel store. The store is now open and will remain open until July 24th. All proceeds benefit the So. Aroostook High School Basketball programs.

Notice: Southern Aroostook Community School must notify students/parents when the school has determined that special education records are no longer needed to provide a student with a free, appropriate, public education as required according to Chapter 101, the Maine Special Education Regulations.
If you have a special education record here at SACS, are 26 years of age or older and wish to retain these records they will be made available between July 12th and July 22nd. After July 22nd, these records will be shredded.

Congratulations to So. Aroostook High School student Autumn Robinson for being named "Best in Class" in the Early Childhood Program at the Region Two School of Applied Technology.


Thank you to Mrs. Duff. She came back to us after retirement and helped us with interventions for three years. She is retiring for good now. We wish her the best!
