Aroostook Right to Read sponsors a book cover contest each year. This year, three So. Aroostook Middle School students entered the contest. Lyndsie Beaulieu, Ruth Greene, and Kason Lawlor. All three students did a great job. This year, 8th Grade student Kason Lawlor was chosen as the Aroostook County winner. Congratulations Kason!!
A reminder to RSU 50 parents/guardians, pooled testing for Maine schools has been suspended by the State. Pooled testing will be suspended at So. Aroostook Community School for the remainder of the school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school health office. Thank you.

This week, seniors at So. Aroostook High School are presenting their Senior Capstone Portfolios to family, friends, and staff about their academic and personal growth in their time at So. Aroostook. Students also get an opportunity to share artifacts that demonstrates their learning. Pictured her is senior Emily Skinner with a mural she is creating as part of her Art Class experience here. Good luck to the So. Aroostook Middle School baseball and softball teams in their games today at home vs East Grand. Game time is 3:30pm. Congratulations to both teams on their victory's yesterday afternoon. The SA middle school softball team improved to 3-0 on the season with 29-4 win vs. Central Aroostook. Brooke Shields struck out 11 batters to pick up the win on the mound for the Warriors. The SA middle school baseball picked up a 20-5 win over Central Aroostook to improve their record to 1-2 on the season.

Congratulations to the So. Aroostook High School Baseball team on their 8-2 win over Katahdin High School today. Th Warriors improve to 3-2 AJ Lewis got the win on the mound pitching five strong innings. Chris Caswell pitched two scoreless innings to pick up the save.
