Southern Aroostook High School Seniors Dillan Bishop and Hannah McGary have been selected to represent our school at the Aroostook County Senior Athletic Scholarship Banquet that is being held later this month.
Each high school in Aroostook County selects only one boy and one girl for this honor. Dillan and Hannah were chosen because of their outstanding dedication to both their athletics and academics.
This event is not only a recognition of their hard work but also an opportunity to receive a scholarship. The Aroostook League will randomly select five boys and five girls to receive scholarships. Thank you to the Aroostook League Athletic Directors for recognizing these student/athletes.

Congratulations to Southern Aroostook High School Senior Annie Harthorne on her acceptance to the University of Maine and the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Annie was accepted into the College of Education and Human Development with a Major in Elementary Education. 📚✏️ Additionally, she received a merit scholarship at UMaine for $6,000 annually and $5,000 at UMPI.

Conference Champions! Southern Aroostook High School student Zach Lilley is a member of the team and plays in goal for the team. Congratulations Zach!
They defeated Penquis, Brewer Orange and Brewer Black, winning all 4 of their games. The Jr Blackhawks scored a total of 18 goals vs 2 goals
against. The Jr Blackhawks will play next Sunday in Auburn at the Norway Savings Bank Arena, against the Lewiston Gladiators for the State Championship. It will be available on LiveBarn, time TBD.

The SA Photography class did their Valentine's Day photoshoot yesterday and it aligned perfectly with the fact that today is Friday the 13th and the day before Valentine's Day. Part 1 of the photos!
Mrs. Lawlor's class made breakfast in the classroom today. They made sausage and egg breakfast sandwiches, ham and egg breakfast sandwiches and pancakes! Students cooked for each other, helped serve and clean up and ate together! What a wonderful community day to kick off the start of our February break!
Southern Aroostook High School & Katahdin High School Girls Basketball teams had a chance to have a shared practice this week to help prepare for their respective quarterfinal games in Bangor. They took a minute to pose for a group picture.
