Feeling proud.... Many of our SACS graduates have headed (or will be heading) to College or into the workforce in the upcoming days. Please be thinking of them as they make this transition!
Best of luck, graduates! 👨🏻🎓 Remember.... you get out of life what you put into it. No matter what challenges you face in the upcoming weeks/month/year, know that you have the confidence and skills to overcome these obstacles. (And know that you have people in your community that love you and support you!) Be proud of where you come from and stop in and visit us when you're back in the area. It's a wonderful place to grow up! Study hard and have fun! We wish you the best of luck; you make our community so proud! 😊💜 🥰

RSU 50/So. Aroostook students return to school on Monday August 30th. Parents/Guardians and students are reminded masks are required for all students and staff on the bus and in the building. We are also asking for parents to continue checking your children daily for Covid-19 symptoms before sending them to school. Attached is the screening tool. If you have questions about symptoms please contact Kathy Chamberland, RSU 50 school nurse. Thank you.
Thank you for your continued assistance to keep our students safe and able to attend school for in-person instruction.

RSU 50 parents and guardians:
Since school meals became complementary in Maine in the 2019/2020 school year, there has been a significant drop in Meal Benefit Application returns––meaning less families are filling out the application.
The family income data provided by the application informs key funding for school resources. This includes school meal reimbursements, funding for Title I programs, funding and resources for after school programs, funding provided to schools from the Maine State Legislature for essential programs and services at school, funding for special education, teacher loan forgiveness, and much, much more!
We will sending home the meal benefit application home with students next week. Please take the time to complete the application or you can complete the application online at the following web address: https://bit.ly/38fLZaU
If you need any assistance completing the form, please contact the school. Thank you for your cooperation in completing this important form.

All SACS HIgh School students need community service hours to meet graduation requirements. Volunteering helps you connect to your community and make it a better place. The Island Falls Historical Society is looking for volunteers to help with their annual fundraiser on Saturday, July 31st from 6am-4pm. If you are interested in getting some volunteer hours, please email jgreene@rsu50.org. Thank you!

Congratulations to Paige Vose, recent graduate of the Class of 2021. Paige received a $1000 Red Sox Community Service Scholarship and 3 Red Sox tickets. She was presented with the award at Fenway Park on July 28th. Congratulations, Paige!!

There will be enough for every elementary student. The office is open 8-2 each day. We would like to thank them for this thoughtful gift!

Come out and support the Island Falls Lakes Association as well as the SACS Dollars for Scholars program!
