Thank you Region Two School of Applied Technology for hosting the Career and College Fair today in Houlton. So. Aroostook High School students had the opportunity to meet many college reps, armed service recruiters, and business reps to help explore their future goals and aspirations.

Mrs. York’s fifth graders learned about flooding and storm surge damage caused by hurricanes. Here are some students acting as engineers to save “Beachtown” using levees, wetlands, stilts, and sea walls, all while staying within the town’s budget.


We had our first All School Morning Meeting this morning. Students started with a parade through all of the classrooms.

The Southern Aroostook After School Program is up and running with kids receiving educational support for their classes and also engaging in some fun activities. The program runs from 2:30-4:30pm on Mondays-Thursdays for students in Grades 3 and up. If you are interested in your child participating in the program, please contact the school to register. Last evening, Nikki Vachon from the Finance Authority of Maine presented to RSU 50 seniors and their parents about financial aid for college. Thank you to RSU 50 school counselor Jessica Greene for organizing this event for our school.


This morning the Oakfield Baptist Church delivered their "Annual Goodie Platters" to the RSU 50 teachers and staff in appreciation of their work with students. Thank you!!!
