Students in Ms. Fitzherbert’s classes have been doing some great work! 8th grade students created models to learn about body systems. Students in Science Elective are building their own Newton’s Cradles. 10th graders extracted DNA strands from strawberries.

Students in Mr. McGary's Photography Class have been applying their skills from their lessons with water drop photography. Here are a few pictures from photography student Krisalyn Booker.



Luke Streinz, representing So. Aroostook High School, is the defending Nordic Skiing State Class C Champion and is performing at a high level again this Winter. Luke has placed in first place at the Aroostook High School Freestyle Race on January 6th, placed first at the Caribou Sprints on January 17th, and also placed first at the Boys Aroostook County Classical Race on January 19th. Luke's time at the most recent race was 14.58.95, which was +41.51 seconds faster than the next racer. Great job Luke!!

Students in the So. Aroostook After-School Program participated in the Ski for Life Program at Big Rock Mountain in Mars Hill last Thursday. This a great program for students to learn to ski. Thank you to the So. Aroostook After-school Program and Big Rock Mountain staff for helping make this opportunity for kids happen!!
