Congratulations to So. Aroostook High School Senior Alexia Maclaren on her acceptance to the University of Maine at Presque Isle to major in English program.


Good luck to the So. Aroostook Middle School Girls & Boys Basketball teams in their games today at Houlton Middle/High School. Game times are 3:30pm for the boys, and 4:45pm for the girls.


Miss Shelby’s class finished ABC Bootcamp today.



Congratulations to So. Aroostook High School Junior Bailey Vose on being selected as one of ten finalists from the State of Maine for the United States Senate Youth Program! Bailey, along with the other nine finalists from Maine, will attend an event later this month to interview with a panel of judges from Senator King’s, Senator Collin’s, and the Secretary of State’s office for the opportunity to move on this program.


We have the best lunch ladies! They made chocolate Halloween donuts for the the students today. It looks like they were enjoyed!





Students in Mrs. Brewers class have been learning about logging in the North Maine woods. They are also learning about some of the tools loggers used in the 1800’s. The tools are on display at the So. Aroostook Outdoor classroom.


A big THANK YOU to the nine high school students who helped a local family today. They worked hard, got dirty, fit into some tight spaces, and enjoyed some pizza and laughs together; all while giving back to the community that has done so much for them. Such a fun and rewarding day!
High school students need a total of 32 hours of community service to meet graduation requirements.
