Today's So. Aroostook Middle School soccer games are postponed. The make up game will be on Wednesday, September 27th at Presque Isle Middle School. BOTH teams will be playing at 4:00 (Girls on the turf, Boys on the grass field.

Today the So. Aroostook Community School Staff recognized two outstanding teachers for their many years of dedication to the students of this region. Mr. John Getchell and Mrs. Elizabeth Clark have taught school for 50 years!!! John has taught for 50 years at So. Aroostook Community School and Liz has taught at both So. Aroostook Community School District and the Katahdin School District for a combined 50 years. Thank you both for your inspiring work with our students!!!
Just a reminder to So. Aroostook Community School parents/guardians we will be holding an Open House for K-12 parents and students tonight, August 29th from 6:00-7:00pm. Students and parents will have the opportunity to meet their teachers and see their classrooms and also pick-up class schedules.
First student day is tomorrow, August 30, for all students. It will be a purple day.
Day 1 of teacher workshops included many things! One of which was our guest speaker Eric Herlan, school attorney from Drummond and Woodsum law firm. Eric is always an excellent speaker and a fun time! Thank you to Eric for coming to SACS!

Varsity Boys Soccer - Monday, August 14th : 7:30am -8:30 am, Fitness & 6:30pm- 8:00pm Skill work/Team practice
Varsity Girls Soccer - Monday, August 14th: 4:00pm - 530 pm
Varsity Golf - Monday, August 14th: 4:30-6:00pm at Va-Jo Wa Golf Course. Thursday August 17th: 4:30-6:00pm at Va-Jo-Wa Golf Course.
Cross Country - Will begin when school starts. Practice schedule will be after school starts.
Varsity Football- Monday, August 14th, time TBD.
So. Aroostook Middle School Soccer (for students entering Grades 5 through 8)will start on August 21st. Practice times times will be announced later this week.
A reminder to all parents/athletes that physicals expire after one year. Please turn in all updated physicals into the High School office or make an appointment to schedule a physical examination if your child's physical is expired. Also, students participating in athletics are required to have insurance. If your child needs insurance you may contact the school for more information about our student insurance program.
