Virtual field day for 4th and 5th graders!

Information about So. Aroostook Grade 8 Completion Ceremony can be found on the RSU 50 Website and RSU 50 Facebook account.
Congratulations goes out to the following students: Noah Kennedy, First Place; Porter McCluskey, Second Place; and Zachary Lilley, Third Place. These students won the drawing of SACS "Physical Activity Log." This event started the first week of school closure and went on for eight weeks. Students were expected to be active at least four days a week for 30 minutes a day. These students, like many other students, took part in being active in many different ways such as bike riding, fishing, and driveway hockey. I want to thank all of the students who took part in this activity. I hope the winners enjoy their ice creams. I also want to say, to all my students, “Stay active and enjoy our warmer weather.” Miss Lagasse

Mark your calendars, Friday June 5th!! RSU 50 Staff will be celebrating the end of the school year a little differently this year. Staff will have a parade through the school community. Students, come wave good bye to your teachers for the Summer.

Here's an example of a SACS student engaging in community service. SACS requires 8 hours of community service a year. SACS Sophomore Hunter Burpee is pictured here moving 5 tons of coal for his church furnace for next winter and also shoveling ashes. Great work Hunter!

I doubled his brother, but missed him in yesterday's post. Sorry about that, William! Thank you for participating every day this week!

Pajama Friday ended our Virtual Spirit Week. It was fun to take a peek into your remote learning and to share it with our community. You are doing wonderful things from home! Have a great long weekend and come back Tuesday refreshed and ready to finish our school year strong!

Thanks for sharing your remote learning spaces today, or something you were working on! There are also a couple of outdoor adventure pictures in the mix that I received last night. Tomorrow is pajama day!

Some great work from our students during remote learning, SACS Science Fair.

Some more outdoor adventurers!

Take a peek at today's Outdoor Adventure pictures as well as some more crafts from yesterday. It's hard to believe that just a week and a half ago we were in the middle of a snowstorm! Tomorrow is, "Remote Learning" day. Please send me a picture of your work, or workspace!

Here is a wonderful slide show from Mr. McGary’s photography class. Great job everyone! Impressive work!
