As with elementary concert, the recording was done by Mr McGary's photography class. Because of the Covid-19 restrictions on wind instruments, many of our band students are learning to play string or percussion instruments this year. The kids did a great job. Enjoy!
So. Aroostook Seniors presented projects for their Science Fair Graduation requirement last week. Well done!
4th graders creating their "Chickadee Treat Tree" for our Festival of Trees.
Mrs. York's 5th graders decided to collect donations for the Houlton Humane Society instead of doing a gift exchange. In addition to what is pictured, they also raised $140! Great job, 5th graders!

This week's Elementary Staff Spotlight features Kelly Sonderman!
Elementary students enjoyed making S'mores in our Outdoor Classroom last week. Mrs. Williams help them make their S'mores, and then she read a story to them. Here are our kindergarteners enjoying this activity.

Southern Aroostook's Elementary School would like to invite families to come to school after dark, tonight or tomorrow night ( Dec. 21&22), to see our Festival of Trees. The trees will be lit until 8:00 pm each night. They are on the back side of our school, facing the playground. Each grade level has decorated a tree with a theme. Here are their themes:
Pre-K - Natural Ornaments
K- Honoring Paramedics
1st- Snowmen
2nd - Old Fashioned Christmas
3rd - The Giving Tree
4th - Maine Chickadee
5th - "If 2020 was a Christmas Tree"
