Southern Aroostook High School senior Keomi Jones-Tarr will graduate with honors in June as a member of the Class of 2026. Keomi has spent a significant portion of her high school career preparing for her future career path through the Region Two School of Applied Technology. Demonstrating immense dedication, she completed an impressive three years in the Law Enforcement program. This intensive, hands-on training has provided her with a strong foundation in criminal justice, leadership, and community safety.
Beyond her technical studies, Keomi has served on the Student Council, helped design and preserve school memories on the Yearbook Committee, and brought her creative talents to the stage in the Drama Club. She was also a member of the Prom Committee and has been an active participant in the SACS Scholarship Program.
Keomi consistently finds ways to give back, donating her time to the SACS Food Drive, local community service days, and pitching in to help out at her local campground. Alongside her busy school and volunteer schedule, Keomi has maintained an excellent work ethic in the local workforce. After previously working at Tim Hortons, she currently balances her senior year responsibilities while working at McDonald's.
This fall, Keomi’s passion for justice and public safety will take her to the next level. She will be attending the University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) to pursue her degree in the Criminal Justice/Law Program. Keomi is the daughter of David and Tracy Tarr.
