Southern Aroostook High School senior Bryce Bates will graduate with honors in June as a member of the Class of 2026. From the athletic fields, to the band room, to the classroom, Bryce has shown his natural leadership abilities early on, being elected Class President during his freshman year and consistently participating in the SACS Scholarship program.
Bryce has been a constant presence in the SACS extracurricular scene since day one. A dedicated multi-sport athlete, he competed in soccer all four years, culminating in a senior season where he earned All-Aroostook honors for soccer. Alongside his time on the pitch, he balanced a rotating schedule of basketball and baseball throughout his high school career. He also shared his musical talents with the school community, playing in the SACS band during his freshman, sophomore, and junior years.
Believing in the importance of giving back, Bryce has lent his time to essential local causes, volunteering for the SACS food pantry and the SACS clothing drive. He has also balanced his busy school and athletic calendar with hard work in the private sector. For his employment, Bryce works for Nadeau's Construction, where he has gained invaluable, real-world experience on active job sites.
This fall, Bryce will be attending college at the University of Maine at Augusta to major in Pre-Architecture. Bryce is the son of Kayla Swallow and Ryan Bates.
