Southern Aroostook High School senior Meriah Nason will graduate with honors in June as a member of the Class of 2026. A significant portion of Meriah’s success took place at the Region Two School of Applied Technology, in the Early Childhood Education program. Her natural talent for teaching and leadership quickly became apparent, earning her the prestigious "Best in Class" award for both her sophomore and junior years. Meriah also shared their musical talents early on, participating in the school band during her freshman year.

Giving back to the community has always been a priority for Meriah. She has been a familiar face at various community drives, including the SACS Clothing Drive, local bottle drives, and food drives. Meriah has also spent countless hours volunteering in elementary classrooms, assisting teachers with cleaning and organization, and providing vital one-on-one academic support to young students. Meriah has successfully balanced schoolwork with real-world professional experience. She initially put her Region Two training to work as an assistant teacher at a local daycare.  She transitioned into healthcare and currently works as a Resident Aide at Madigan Estates in Houlton.

After graduation, Meriah plans to enter the workforce.  She aspires to attend school to earn her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Meriah is the daughter of Brian Nason & Erin McDonald and Natasha Honeycutt.
