Southern Aroostook High School Senior Tabitha Dicosmio will graduate with honors in June as a member of the Class of 2026. Since joining our school community in her junior year, Tabitha has earned High Honors her junior year and reached Highest Honors during her senior year. She received an award for Exemplary Achievement in English and was recognized at the Houlton Rotary Luncheon. Tabitha also challenged herself as a dual-enrollment student, successfully completing multiple college courses. Beyond the classroom, she is a member of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) and a member of the Yearbook Committee.
With a clear vision for her future in medicine, Tabitha has excelled in her Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs at the Region Two School of Applied Technology. Her junior year she completed the Medical Terminology class and earned her CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) credentials, while capturing the "Best in Class" award for the 4th quarter. During her senior year she has advanced her skills by completing the Nursing and Phlebotomy programs.
Tabitha has consistently dedicated her time to helping others. For the past two years, she has served as her church's cleaner and has been a frequent volunteer at her church's local food pantry, ensuring families in the community have the support they need.
This fall, Tabitha will attend Northern Maine Community College (NMCC) to earn her Registered Nurse (RN) degree. From there, she plans to transfer to the University of Maine at Fort Kent (UMFK) to complete her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Her long-term career goals include working at Houlton Regional Hospital for two years before taking her skills on the road as a travel nurse. Tabitha is the daughter of Ralph and Jillian DiCosimo.
