Kason served his peers as a Student Council member for two years and has been a fixture of the Basketball program throughout high school, earning an Honorable Mention to the All-Aroostook team.
Kason’s work ethic extends far beyond the school day. He has been a vital part of the local workforce, lending his hands to Sawyer Farms, Nature Circle Farms, R.C. Logging Supplies, and Hill-over Livestock. Kason also served as a Teacher’s Aide for the custodial and groundskeeping staff here at Southern Aroostook.
To truly know Kason, you have to look toward the woods. He spends nearly all of his spare time hunting and trapping, but his true passion lies in being a houndsman. Whether he is out with his beagles or working with his bear hounds, Kason is most at home in the Maine wilderness.
Kason will be attending Northern Maine Community College (NMCC) for Building Construction. His goal is to start his own carpentry business, Kason is also planning to take the Registered Maine Guide Course and hopes to officially join the ranks of Maine’s elite guides, allowing him to take every fall off to focus on his family’s guide service. Kason is the son of Chris and Hilary Lawlor.
