RSU 50

Southern Aroostook Community High School Seniors received scholarship awards of over $300,000 at their very memorable graduation and scholarship awards ceremony held on Friday, June 13th in the Southern Aroostook Community SchooL Gymnasium. The graduation was well attended by family and friends. 

The following scholarship awards were presented: 

Libby Anderson received the Sally Cyr Memorial Scholarship, and awards from the Curry Family Giving Fund, the Toby Collier Memorial, Kirby Living Trust, Malcolm & Priscilla Palmer, Site Flight, LLC, the Katahdin Club Scholarship, a Warman Scholarship, Worthington Foundation Scholarship, an ABYL Scholarship and SACS Scholarship Program award. 

Ethan Collier was awarded a scholarship from the Worthington Foundation, a Warman Scholarship, Oakfield Alumni Scholarship, Bartlett Family Scholarship, Pete Porter Memorial Scholarship, the American Legion Post 52 Scholarship, and a SACS Scholarship Program Award. He also received scholarships from the Toby Collier Memorial, Dr. Ronald Blum, Houlton Regional Hospital, Katahdin Cedar Log Homes, Katahdin Federal Credit Union, Kirby Living Trust, Scotty and Candy Nevers, RSU 50 Education Assoc., Patric J. Sherman Memorial, Phil Sherman Memorial and Site Flight, LLC. and the George Mitchell Scholarship,

Hope Curry was the recipient of a Warman Scholarship and received awards from the following: Community Living Assoc., Edwards Family Memorial, SACS Scholarship Program and the Malcolm and Priscilla Palmer Scholarship. Hope also received the Aroostook League Scholarship, Coldbrook Travel Club Soccer Award, the Curry Family Giving Fund Award. Island Falls Alumni Scholarship and a scholarship from Gary and Karen Stairs. 

Ciera Dignan received scholarships from the Worthington Foundation, a Warman Scholarship and a scholarship from Jerry Foodstore and Assoc. Grocers. 

Jacob Ellingwood was awarded the David Ryan Scholarship, a Charlotte Durr Memorial Scholarship, a SACS Scholarship Program Award, the Paul F. Sherman Scholarship and a Site Flight Scholarship. 

Olivia Ellingwood received the Kevin Hunt Memorial Scholarship, a Charlotte Durr Memorial Scholarship, the Patric J. Sherman Scholarship, Onward Energy Scholarship, SACS Scholarship Program Award and a Warman Scholarship. 

Hailey Goodall received a Warman Family Scholarship. 

Coda Goodwin received a Bartlett Family Scholarship, a scholarship from the Oakfield Baptist Church, a Warman Scholarship, Oakfield Alumni Scholarship, Katahdin Trust Company Scholarship, F. A. Peabody Scholarship and the Site Flight, LLC. Scholarship. 

Krayton Hogan was awarded a scholarship from Bates Fuel Company. 

Skyla Lewis was awarded a Warman Scholarship, a scholarship from the Worthington Foundation, the Ruby Haskell Memorial Scholarship, York's of Houlton Scholarship and a SACS Scholarship Program Award. 

Mackenzie Lilley received a Warman Scholarship, a Worthington Scholarship, the Bev Clark Memorial Scholarship, the Slice Restaurant Scholarship, a Bartlett Family Scholarship, Mary Anne Sprague Edwards Scholarship, Paula & Perry Lilley Scholarship, Oakfield Alumni Scholarship, Ruby Haskell Memorial Scholarship, Malcolm & Priscilla Palmer Scholarship and a SACS Scholarship Program Scholarship. 

Amber McMannus received a Warman Scholarship, a Worthington Scholarship, the Arthur Briggs Memorial Scholarship, Arthur & Jacob Shur Memorial Scholarship, the Jarrica Emery Memorial Scholarship. 

Meadow Nelson received a scholarship from the Worthington Foundation. 

Ryder Russell received a monetary gift from Pete Porter Memorial Scholarship Fund. 

Trafton Russell received a Worthington Scholarship, a Pete Porter Memorial Scholarship, RSU #50 Education Assoc. Scholarship, Elaine Small Family Scholarship, Site Flight, LLC Scholarship, Island Falls Lakes Assoc. Scholarship, Philip Powers Memorial Trust, American Legion Post #52 Scholarship, Scotty and Candy Nevers Scholarship and a SACS Scholarship Program Scholarship. 

Addyson Schmidt received a scholarship from the Worthington Foundation, a Paul F. Sherman Memorial Scholarship, Jerry's Foodstore and Assoc. Grocers Scholarship, Philip Powers Memorial Trust Scholarship, a Malcolm & Priscilla Palmer Scholarship, and the Island Falls Fishing Derby Scholarship. 

Annabelle Small received a Warman Scholarship, a Worthington Scholarship, The Bridge to Hope Scholarship, an Onward Energy Scholarship, the Milliken Memorial Hospital Scholarship, an award from the Curry Family Giving Fund, a Bartlett Family Scholarship, a scholarship from the Oakfield Baptist Church, an award from the Pete Porter Memorial, the Elaine Small Family Scholarship, Houlton Regional Hospital Medical Staff Award, and a SACS Scholarship Award. 

Jade Tarr received a Warman Scholarship. 

Josiphine Tarr was awarded a Warman Scholarship and a Katahdin Trust Company Scholarship. 

Rylee Webb received the Tyler Grand Mason MELMAC Scholarship, the Houlton Rotary Scholarship, a Warman Scholarship, an Onward Energy Scholarship, a  Pete Porter Memorial Scholarship, Larry and Phyllis Greenlaw Memorial Scholarship and the RSU 50 Education Association Scholarship.  Rylee also received scholarships from Site Flight LLC, Katahdin Federal Credit Union, Diane Desmond Scholarship, Katahdin Cedar Log Homes, Malcolm & Priscilla Palmer and SACS Scholarship Program.
