Hope Curry will graduate with honors from Southern Aroostook High School while earning high honors throughout high school. Hope is an active member of the National Honor Society and the SACS Scholarship Program, Hope has balanced academic excellence with active involvement in athletics, playing both varsity soccer and varsity softball. Hope was named a recipient of the Aroostook League Scholar/Athlete Award earlier this spring.
Outside the classroom, Hope is committed to community service, volunteering at SACS Clothing Drive, the SACS Food Pantry, and local events such as cornhole tournaments, the Island Falls Lakes Association Annual Canoe and Kayak Races, and snowmobile races. Hope has also volunteered at the Penobscot Valley Country Club.
Hope has previously served as a ski instructor at Hermon Mountain and has worked as a waitress at Birch Point for nearly three years. This fall, Hope will attend Eastern Maine Community College in the Health Studies program, with plans to apply to the Radiology program to pursue a career as an x-ray technician. Hope is the daughter of Shawn and Carmin Curry.
