Ciera Dignan will graduate with honors from Southern Aroostook High School in June. Ciera has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, earning high honors throughout her four years of high school. Ciera is a member of the National Honor Society, the National Technical Honor Society and the Southern Aroostook High School Student Council. Ciera participated in the Region Two School of Applied Technology Culinary Arts, Medical Terminology, and Phlebotomy programs, and earned student of the quarter.
Ciera has served on the prom committee and yearbook committees. Ciera has been selected to attend the Houlton Rotary Luncheon all four years of high school. Ciera played varsity softball her sophomore year, was a member of the varsity cheerleading squad her sophomore and junior years, and a manager of varsity baseball the last two seasons. Ciera has contributed to the community through her volunteer work with the SACS clothing drive and food pantry. She also volunteers at Dyer Brook Community Church, cleaning, running the nursery, and helping with vacation bible school.
Last summer, Ciera worked part-time at Ivey’s Bistro in Houlton as a prep cook. Ciera has been accepted at the University of Maine at Presque Isle and will pursue an Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology with her future plans to work as a Medical Lab Technician. Ciera is the daughter of Kim and Sean Dignan.
