SACS administration, faculty, and staff recognizes and appreciates the many types of resources given to help support the education of our children from our local towns and community.  As a staff, we remind our students of the community support and also give them opportunities to give back to their community.

Starting with the Class of 2020, all students are required to complete eight hours of community service in order to receive a diploma from SACS.  Students will be asked to keep a log of their time and activities they have participated in throughout the school year.

There are a number of community service projects going on throughout the school year.  Here are a few:

  1. Good Shepard Food Bank provides fresh produce once a month.  We service over 300 people a month. SACS also maintains a food pantry with canned and non-perishable items, open to the public.

  2. “Share the Warmth” Clothing Drive.  SACS has hosted this annual event for the last 10 years.

  3. Senior Citizen Luncheons in Island Falls & Oakfield hosted by SACS students

  4. National Honor Society Red Cross Blood Drive at SACS

  5. “Pink Out” Coaches vs. Cancer Basketball Game, all proceeds from the game is given to Cancer Research, raised $800.00 in 2020.
