Southern Aroostook Community High School Seniors received scholarship awards of over

$160,900 at their very memorable graduation ceremony held on Friday, June 9th in the So. Aroostook Community School Gymnasium. The graduation was well attended by family and friends.  Thank you to all of the organizations and individuals that donate and participate in the So. Aroostook Scholarship Fund.

The following scholarship awards were presented:


Jennah Brooks received the following: Tyler Grand Maison MELMAC Scholarship, the Ricker

Scholarship, a SACS Scholarship Program Award, David Ryan Memorial Scholarship, an Onward

Alyssa Crandall received scholarships from Louisiana Pacific, an Anonymous Scholarship,
Onward Energy Scholarship, a Worthington Foundation Award, a SACS Scholarship Program
Scholarship, a Kirby Living Trust Award, a Southern Aroostook Educational Trust Scholarship,
Katahdin Federal Credit Union Scholarship, Houlton Regional Hospital Medical Staff Scholarship,
Oakfield Alumni Scholarship, The Bridge to Hope Scholarship, Alice and Peter Cullinan Memorial
Scholarship and the Phil Sherman Memorial Scholarship.


Madalyn Given was awarded a Curry Family Giving Fund Scholarship, Malcolm and Priscilla
Palmer Scholarship, Audrey Benn Memorial Scholarship, Charlotte Benn McDonald Memorial
Scholarship, Alice and Peter Cullinan Memorial Scholarship, Island Falls Alumni Scholarship and
the Katahdin Club Scholarship.


Leigha Hartin was awarded a Curry Family Giving Fund Scholarship, Malcolm and Priscilla
Palmer Scholarship, a Pete Porter Memorial Scholarship, Island Falls Alumni Scholarship and the
Kevin Hunt Memorial Scholarship.


Wyatt Kuliga received a scholarship from American Legion Post #52.


John Langer was awarded a Worthington Foundation Scholarship, a Region Two Scholarship, a
Philip L. Powers Memorial Trust Fund Scholarship, the Island Falls Fishing Derby Scholarship and
a SACS Scholarship Program Scholarship.

Andew “A.J.”Lewis received awards from Les McNelly, from Jerry’s Food Store and a SACS
Scholarship Program Scholarship.


Alexia MacLaren was awarded a Worthington Foundation Scholarship, Malcolm and Priscilla
Palmer Scholarship, the Mary Ann Sprague Edwards Scholarship, a scholarship from the RSU 50
Teachers Assoc., and the Diane Desmond Memorial Scholarship.
