So. Aroostook High School Senior Madalyn Given participated in the Early Childhood Program through the Region Two School of Applied Technology in Houlton for four years, earning Student of the Quarter her senior year. She has completed 400+ field placement hours over the past two years, and will receive her BHP certification after graduation. She has received her certification as a Mandated Reporter, OSHA 10, CPR & First Aid, and other more career specific trainings. Madalyn served on the Prom committee and the Yearbook committee. Madalyn also participated in the middle/high school band.
Madalyn has also participated in a variety of community service projects including volunteering at the SACS Community Service Day, the “Share the Love” event in Island Falls, and at her church.
Madayln works part time at Vacationland Estates and also does some babysitting. Madalyn plans to attend Eastern Maine Community College for Early Childhood Education. She also plans to attend school to pursue a career in Speech Pathology. Madalyn is the daughter of Mark Given and Amy Ramsey.
