So. Aroostook High School Senior Jayniece Wenzloff participated in the Early Childhood Program for two years through the Region Two School of Applied Technology in Houlton. She also participated in the Bridge Program at Region Two and earned a $6,000 Bridge Scholarship. Jayniece served on the Prom Committee, Student Council, and served as a member of the Yearbook staff.
Jayniece played four years of soccer and served as a captain her senior year. Jayniece also participated in five years of cheerleading, serving as a captain her junior and senior year. The cheerleading team earned Spirit Awards at the Aroostook County Cheering Championships her eighth grade and freshman year. Jayniece also played two years of varsity softball.
Jayniece has also participated in a variety of community service projects. She has volunteered at the SACS Annual "Share the Warmth" Clothing Drive, the SACS Community Service Day, the SACS Food Pantry, tutoring students at Summer School, and also at a children’s gift charity event.
Jayniece currently works part-time through Alpha One as an in-home care provider. Her future plans will be to attend the University of Maine at Farmington and major in Early Childhood Education. Jayniece is the daughter of Angela Botting and Joshua Wenzloff.
