Alyssa Crandall

So. Aroostook High School Senior Alyssa Crandall is a member of the So. Aroostook Chapter of the National Honor Society, will graduate with honors, and has earned numerous academic awards.   Alyssa has served as the Class of 2023 Treasurer her Freshman year,  Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years. Alyssa has also participated on the SACS Prom Committee, Yearbook, TRIO, and has been an active member of So. Aroostook Scholarship Program for the past four years. Alyssa also manages the Varsity Softball team. 

Alyssa has participated in the school band since 5th grade. Alyssa has been selected for All-Aroostook Band five times.. Her favorite part of the band is basketball season, specifically tournament week in Bangor. She started doing basketball drum solos in her freshman year, and believes that creating and playing her halftime solo is her favorite part of playing the drums. Along with being in the SACS band, Alyssa participated in McGills Community Band .Alyssa has begun to expand her opportunities with drumming for the future. She has gained experience with piano, guitar, bells, and other percussion auxiliary instruments. 

Alyssa has also participated in a variety of community service projects. She has volunteered at the SACS Annual "Share the Warmth" Clothing Drive, the SACS Community Service Day, and the SACS Food Pantry. She also volunteers doing odds and ends for her neighbor; such as doing yard work, cleaning, and baking.  

Alyssa currently works part-time at Beals Country Store in Oakfield, Maine.  Her future plans are to attend University of Southern Maine to major in Psychology.  Her career goal is to work as a Forensic Psychiatrist and to also continue with Music either as a hobby or a profession.  Alyssa is the daughter of Colby and Shannon Crandall.
