So. Aroostook High School Senior Alexia Maclaren is a member of the So. Aroostook Chapter of the National Honor Society, will graduate with honors, and has earned numerous academic awards. Alexia graduated with a Liberal Studies Associate Certificate from Northern Maine Community College in May 2023. She is the first high school student to participate in commencement at Northern Maine Community College prior to marching at their high school graduation.
Alexia has participated in Drama, served on the Prom Committee, and also Yearbook. Alexia has also participated in a variety of community service projects. She has volunteered planting flowers, volunteered at the SACS Community Service Day, and volunteered at the SACS Food Pantry.
Alexia has worked at Porter's Family Restaurant and at Vacationland Estates in Island Falls, Maine. Her future plans are to earn a degree in English & Writing from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Alexia is the daughter of Barry and Melissa Maclaren.
