At the conclusion of the school year, Southern Aroostook Community School will say a bittersweet farewell to our Elementary Counselor, Sarah Williams, as she transitions to a new role at Hodgdon Middle/High School. While we are sad to see her leave our halls, we are incredibly excited for her as she takes this next step in her professional journey.

Southern Aroostook Community School would like to express our deepest gratitude for Sarah's years of exceptional service to RSU 50. Over the years, Sarah has been a true cornerstone of our school leadership team. Her positive impact on our students, staff, and the broader community cannot be overstated.

Sarah’s relentless work ethic is matched only by her immense compassion. She has consistently demonstrated a "whatever it takes" attitude, whether that meant staying late or working weekends to support a family in crisis, developing innovative social-emotional programming, organizing the Christmas lists for needy families, or simply being a trusted confidante a colleague could lean on during a difficult day. Sarah has always put the betterment of the student first, and that selflessness has left a permanent mark on our district's culture. We have truly gained just as much from her time here as she has from her experiences with us.

As she takes on this new chapter, we do so with the full confidence that her extensive skill set, deep professional knowledge, and relentless motivation will serve her new school community just as exceptionally as she served ours. Hodgdon is gaining an incredible advocate, a stellar leader, and most importantly, an even better person.

Thank you, Sarah, for your unwavering dedication to the students of RSU 50. We wish you, your family, and your new students nothing but the very best!
