So. Aroostook Senior Shelby Violette is a member of the National Technical Honor Society at Region Two in Houlton. Shelby participates in the Introduction to Medical Professions Program at the Region Two School of Applied Technology in Houlton. The program includes medical terminology and phlebotomy. Shelby has also been a member of the the So. Aroostook Chapter of Dollars for Scholars for the least three years.
Shelby has given back to her community through her service work which includes helping with the SACS Community Service Day, volunteering at the Island Falls Recreation Department, and also volunteering at Misty Violette's Little Steps, Big Dreams Childcare in Island Falls.
Shelby has worked for Jerry's Thirftway in Island Falls for the last four years. Shelby plans to attend University of Maine at Augusta for an Associates Degree in Dental Assisting. Shelby is the daughter of Gerald Violette and Debbie Small.
